As a means to share information throughout Saskatchewan related to HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV), the SK HIV/HCV Community of Practice Google Group was created. The intent of this online group is to share expert information on HIV and HCV, resources that have been created at local, provincial, and national levels, as well as details for upcoming education events and networking opportunities.

Information will apply to healthcare providers, frontline service providers, community-based organizations, and all those with an interest in HIV and HCV. Content shared and discussed is largely specific to Saskatchewan, but members do not have to live or work in Saskatchewan to join the group. When a new post is shared, members receive an email. In addition to receiving notifications, members can also participate in online discussions, post questions, and share applicable resources.

There are no participation obligations as a member of the SK HIV/HCV Community of Practice. Sharing HIV and HCV-related information with the group is encouraged, but not mandatory. The SK HIV/HCV Community of Practice is a private group on Google, meaning content shared within the group cannot be accessed by the general public online. The information and discussions posted will remain on the site for members to access. However, members can forward emailed content to individuals outside of the group.
